SLI Global Solutions Government Services Division Southeast Region Regional Director

SLI Global Solutions, a specialized IT consultancy located in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a senior consulting professional with state and local government experience to lead and direct company expansion within the southeast region of the United States. SLI Global Solutions offers government agencies a full range of software and systems quality management services, including quality assurance (QA), independent verification and validation, and software testing. The Regional Director position is responsible for building a SLI Global Solutions brand presence and managing an office that delivers the company’s core suite of services to government agencies with a six-state southeast region, including the States of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The Regional Director is primarily engaged in marketing, selling, and closing business opportunities within the region by developing target markets, identifying prospective clients within those markets, initiating contact with “C” level and other key client managers, and presenting SLI Global Solutions’ solutions to meet identified needs. This individual must be a natural “hunter,” with a proven ability to identify new opportunities and close sales to drive the growth of the company. The Regional Director must be adept at developing and maintaining existing customer relationships in order to grow the accounts for SLI Global Solutions. The Regional Director is a highly motivated self starter who can work through and with others to rapidly expand his or her territory, while consistently meeting sales, revenue, profitability, and utilization targets. The Regional Director reports directly to a company vice president.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully represent SLI Global Solutions and evangelize the firm’s capabilities in the local and regional market to both potential clients as well as other professional services organizations that could serve as teaming partners
  • Possess direct experience serving as a “rainmaker,” e.g., successfully worked in a role where relationships were leveraged to secure new consulting projects
  • Possess existing relationships with local influencers and decision-makers in identified core Health and Human Services markets (e.g., MMIS, Healthcare, Child Support, Child Welfare, Social Services) as well as possible new markets
  • Effectively parlay existing relationships to successfully identify and position SLI Global Solutions to support emerging opportunities
  • Possess relationships with larger integrator or other regional QA/IV&V firms with which SLI Global Solutions could potentially partner
  • Manage a P&L, office, and team of consultants

Job Expectations:

  • Reside in a city with or near a major airport in the southeast United States
  • Close $1m in new business within six months
  • Create a pipeline of $3m in anticipated proposal responses/SOWs within three months
  • Achieve and maintain 30 percent utilization within six months of on-boarding
  • Support delivery of projects (from an oversight, account management, and/or actual delivery resource perspective)

Job Requirements:

  • Self-starter with a passion for fulfilling customer expectations
  • At least 10 years business development experience within the HHS, Social Services, MMIS or other proven markets
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferable
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to travel 50 percent or more of the time
